Default smoking on track!!

98 ss, basically stock motor, but when spraying it (150 shot) on the track , white smoke really(big time actually) blowing out exhaust?? is it sucking oil from pcv through the intake and burning it? if so it has to be hurting the performance as well right?

have you checked your coolant lately??? sound like maybe a head gasket seaping.

also, run some seafoam through it, might just be major carbon deposits from a dirty motor and when you hit the spray the extra exhaust heat and pressure is taking some of the carbon off... could be many things.

Did you get any sort of tune after your nitrous install? I'm not an expert by any means but I would think a tune would be in your best interest. 150 shot on a "basically stock" motor is pretty big. I would think a 100 would be much safer and 125 would be as high as you would want to go. I've seen quite a few cars at the track running including my brother's 04 GTO and most do seem to smoke a very little to little but not as much as your describing. Maybe that big a shot blew out your intake gasket like mentioned above.

Yes you should def get a tune on a 150 shot and possibly you might want to get an upgraded fuel pump!

intake gasket???

WOW

anyways.. you've prob got one of 2 things happening.. your
A. pulling water into the combustion chamber.. most likely a headgasket..

OR

B. you got some blow by issues and your pushing oil threw your PCV system..

does it smoke all the time now?? or just on spray?

are you sure its white?? not maybe a grey aka rich smoke.. if your not running a heater theres a good chance you were real rich and that'll cause smoke..

150 on the stock motor ain;t **** if its done right and can be done on the stock tune as long as you verify a/f is in check.. have you?? ever pulled a plug?? or are you sprayin and prayin??

we need more info

Mike

I kinda go with Blacktransom's "b" option. My car would do that also and no real problem, other than the accumulated oil in the intake. When spraying and reving hard I would flush this oil into the combustion chamber and sometimes quite a bit of smoke. Also, our cars are known for sucking oil into the intake. One thing to caution all on, the oil in the intake that gets flushed into a nitrous run can cause Detonation. Anyway, I hope it's nothing major.
