The stock tranny is stronger than you think. I had wear on mine and it would hit the rev limiter on the 2-3 then finally shift and I sprayed through the shifts trying to kill it and couldn't. I have killed a bunch of built ones though.

Off Will Be Safer But It Is Really Gonna Come Down To Traction, Trsanny Tuneing And Your Other Mods

You Should Get Away With It On A Nearly Stock Car But If Your Already Heavly Modfied A Stock Tranny Is Already On Borrowed Time N20 Of Any Sort Will Fry It

Simply Put I Dont Think A Stock 4l60e Is Much Good Past The 400-450 Rwhp Range

If you want the best times, spray it through the shifts. If you want to give it a better chance of holding up, use a window switch and have it turn off before the shift.

FWIW, when I had my a4 car, I didnt spray through the shifts.

You can spray thru them, the question is how long? Everyone seems to have a better stock trans than the last guy. The stock trans will eventually let go, and when it does using nitrous, there is little warning, it'll just happen one time.

If you don't want to rebuild it turn it off. if you spray a heavy car through the shifts its gona wear the clutches out.

If you don't mind rebuilding it then it will go much faster on!
