Default What RPM should i spray at?

On a car with a stock rearend (3.23)and stock convertor at what rpm would you spray the go-juice?

I was always under the impression that you don't wanna hit it until above 3k, yet i've been seeing a lot of posts about people spraying lower than that. Is there a definete answer to this or is this something that is too debatable?

Too debateable IMO, but for peace of mind (if you are worried about it) hit it about 3k. FWIW, I hit mine at 1900rpm out of the hole 100shot.

i used to wait till about 3 to 35 to spray but it is soo much fun when you just spray it off the line. i spray a 150 shot off the line and hook really well and it is a blast

Doesn't make it right. we have 5K stalls that go .2-.3 faster by bringing in some juice to hit the convertor harder.

as for the thread topic....
My little brothers 226-226 thunder cam/bolt-on car runs 10.5 in 3600+ trim leaving with it around 2300 you will have to play with it but on an auto the convertor will slip and the hit will make it come on harder. Now we have been playing with n20 and ls1's for 7 years now so we have a good idea of what they can take. I wouldn't recomend just strapping on a 150 shot and setting it to 2K without some dyno testing on where the vertor flashes to( even stock vertors will flash higher on n20) and how the gear/tire effect the flash point and points right after role out.
