Default ?how not to scratch bottle?

have a 15lbs bottle and it gets scratched to hell
am redoing the hole car and refinishing the bottle
what do you guys use on the inside of the bottle brackets
to avoid scratching up the bottle?

You can use felt strips on the inside of the brackts.

Felt strips from the hardware store, sticky on one side. Like $3 for a few feet.

since mine is a "hose clamp" style one, i slipped some really soft strectchy silicone tubing over the clamp... mine is translucent blue, but you could use clear or anything else.. maybe a color that matched the bottle.
