Question: Dry kit is going lean
I put a dry kit on my 01 SS, its a single nozzle kit and we have it spraying on the neck of the lid pretty close to the mass air. Well we had about a 50 shot in it just to check the air/fuel on the dyno for the first spray. Well it jumped up in the 14 a/f range and we let out. Should we move the nozzle back to the side of the lid? Would it help to do a dual nozzle and spray from both sides? Its a cam only car, full exhaust if that helps for anything.
What fuel pump do you have in there. I had the same issue... Fuel pressure gauge showed that fuel pump couldn't handle it and fuel pressure was dropping therefore causing the vehicle to go lean....
I thought it would have enough fuel pump when running a dry kit? Im not sure which is in there, probably stock. So even with the dry kit yours went lean CK-1? I was really hoping it was too close to the meter and it was not picking up the nitrous??? Anyone else?
Wet or dry, nitrous is still nitrous and requires the same amount of fuel for the same amount of nitrous. The wet or dry only determines how the fuel is added, not how much you need.
Check injector duty cycle, check fuel pressure.
What else is done to the car? Stock injectors as well?
