Default melted tr6 plugs running n/a

somehow i melted 2 tr6 plugs gapped at .035 running n/a. is this possable? i had them in maybe 3,000 miles. i did run nitrous but 2 runs only and it was when i first did the plug change.

my questions is is this possable and how often if any has this happened to you? and how long do you wait to change plugs when your running no2 maybe 4 times in a month? its a 150 wet shot.

It is definitely time for you to look at your piston tops with a bore scope. Or just take off the heads. There is no way you melted spark plugs that quick without doing other serious damage, regardless of the root cause.

your running super lean....

a local had the same issue, plugs burning off. Put in new plugs, drove it down the track and promptly blew the motor up.
is that a wet kit? make damn sure your fuel solenoid aint sticking.

too lean man. I would guess is happened when you sprayed. Ive been running TR6's all the time on my car and they always look fine even after 10k on them.

Timing tuner wont do anything for a lean condition. A 150 wet shot can run on stock timing, so i dont think timing had anything to do with your plugs melting.

I melted plugs in 250 miles just from not having my egr deleted out when i put headers on. It was running either way too lean or way too rich, On the dyno the car just started jerking the motor around 5000 rpm, when the misfiring occured. I changed the plugs and it all went away, but i just wanted to share the fact that mine happened within 250 miles, and not even from nitrus or anything

Tips were completely gone? Hard to do that on motor unless you have a major lean condition, you might want to check over the car.

Yeah that sounds like a very bad lean episode on spray. Melted away the ground strap.
