Lightbulb Nos Experts Advice Needed!

I Have A Supercharged 6.0l Gto With Low Compression Rods & Pistons That Put Me In The 8.9 Compression.
My Question Is Will It Be Safe To Hit It With A 400 Hp Shot Of Nos??

there is a TON more to it than that. There are lots of particulars you need to figure out than just "hit it with a 400".

The short answer as you asked it is no. Not even remotely.

Keep reading the thread on big shots. There is much to learn.

are you saying you have the supercharger on it now??? What HP are you making now?

There is a ton more than just spraying a 400 down the pipe. It doesnt matter if your motor is forged. A forged motor can be destroyed just as fast as a stock one if detonation is present. Thats the key.

Then there is keeping the heads down when you approach a 400 shot. Many have had a hard time with this...especially with a 400 single stage.

You have to think about things like HOW your gonna spray 400? Staged? progressive....what octane...because you will certasinly need race fuel even with your low cmpression motor.

What are you gonna use for timing retard...this will absolutely be necessary. Do you have studs and MLS gaskets atleast? Hows your fuel system...is it up to par for your TOTAL hp amount. Or will you use a stand alone fuel tank with pump?

There is a TON to go through before you can MAYBE safely spray a 400.

no...dont forget the idea. Nitrous works great with a SC'er. But just get a basic kit and start slow. I honeslty think you would be SHOCKED at what a lil ole 75 shot would do in conjunction with a supercharger.

a 300 would be pretty easy.

But dont ditch the SC'er for now. Like I saud....even a 75 shot would probably get you 125 hp at the tires with a TON of Tq. i really think you would be shocked how much you would pick up. I dont think you would need to spray more than a 100 shot before you crapped your pants.

What's wrong with people? The variables are...TOO MANY...You're trying to make the stars line up but you don't know what a telescope is.

If you have to ask this kind of question, you're obviously not qualified to do such a thing. UNLESS you like watching stuff break. Do some reading, punch some numbers after you've read too much...maybe it's what you're looking for. Anything is possible...you could even pay someone to do such a thing. Goodluck!

Like stated above a 400 shot would be way to much for your set up.

You would be suprised what a difference a 100 shot would make with your set up..
I personaly would put a wet 100 shot on the car. This will make hp two ways since you are adding power and cooling the intake charge.

Boosted applications tend to make more power than the rated hp due to the fact of the cooling affect.

Put a 100 shot on the car and slowly work your way up.. I think you will be greatly suprised on the difference it makes.
