Exclamation Launching on n2o w/ a M6

What are you guy using to launch on nitrous with a 6 speed. I have a MS4 cam only car on 17" ET streets. Im going to convert my dry to a nitrous outlet 90mm plate. I have a TPS/window switch now. I was thinking I could bring the rpms up then when I got WOT it would spray. But the hold up is I also want a 2 step. Is anyone doing this same thing. n20 off the line + 2 step?

I deactivate the spray hold the two step button down launch and then as fast as i can i flip the activation switch. I think thats the safest way to do it. If you run a WOT switch and a window switch like i do you could have the activation switch on and just not press the throttle all the way down when your on the two step then after you launch press it down that last bit. Its kinda unsafe tho because if you forget and push the pedal all the way down or push it down before you let go of the two step button your spraying on your two step. That = bad news.

I follow this routine after the burnout:
  1. Activate the nitrous
  2. Purge
  3. Stage
  4. Put the car on the 6800RPM two step (at WOT)
  5. Dump the clutch on the last yellow
Since I'm already at WOT as soon as the clutch is dumped, the nitrous is automatically activated. Since we launch the car so high in the RPM range, it stays above the 3500RPM activation window.

Spraying out of the hole fuels my 3700LB pig to 1.40 60' times.

Except for the 2-step, this is my plan of attack for Saturday. I'll be dumping from around 6k and see what RPMs that nets me off the line, and then I'll adjust the window accordingly. Was hoping to be able to set it at 3500 as well and have it hit off the line. I doubt I'll have the traction your car will, so I might not drop RPM quite as much.

so the 2 step and the nitrous are both trigger at the same time by the clutch being released? Your using a wot switch mounted under the dash for this?

i was spraying 300 straight out of the hole. no two step, just a WOT switch.

burnout
activate nitrous
purge
hold RPM's at 5500
dump clutch

netted me 1.40 60 ft's w/ bilstein shocks!

nevermind the crappy burn out or rev limiter....

That's what I may do. Just use the 2 step for N/A runs. I hope my suspension tires can hold up to it. I will be happy with a 1.5x on a 150 shot

Good luck! I hope everything goes well for you. My car dead hooked from 6800 and bogged to ~3700. If your car spins, it won't drop as much - but the nitrous is going to make it spin more!

The nitrous is activated when the two-step is deactivated. My WOT switch is under the throttle arm on the TB.

For a video of my car leaving on spray off the two step, check the link in my signature.

6.38 at 97mph.

previous before that was a 6.48 at 106

i guesstimate it would have been a .32ish if i had shifted to 4th gear.

forged 346 w/ lots of sauce.

motor has been out of that car for a year now and have been building a new setup.
