My guess off the top of my head would be the infamous high rpm lean backfire. fuel pump may be getting weak, and/or a clogged fuel filter. Anyway, i am sure glad the damage was minimal. Do you have any logs?

Exactly what Zero4488 suggested. Get a fuel pressure gauge on there and monitor it and double check what you have the FPSS set to. I would even suggest to verify a/f on a dyno while you log fuel pressure. Also, are you running a window switch? What is the rev limiter set to and what are your shift points set to?

I do not have any logs or a window switch I have a fuel pressure gauge but mounted under the hood while the car is iddleling its like at 60lbs the fpss is set I think 40 just the same way it come out of the box i did not adjust it since it had always worked fine. when I took my car to the dyno it was running very rich but then i found out when i did the runs i only had like 3 pounds of nitrous in the tank so i think that is why it ran very rich. the rev limiter is set at 6600 my shift point the 1-2 is +4 the 2-3 is +9 the 3-4 is +13 this is adjusted with a hypertech programmer and no i did not install the hypertech tuning to advance timing i put no.

I should also mention that the only 2 things I changed since I sprayed my car last time is the tires I went from a 24.75 to a 26.25 inch mt streets but I adjusted that also with the proggramer and I also got a purge. I think maybe I had my car programmed to close to the limiter because about a month ago i got on it hard and it hit the limiter but did not think nothing of it and that same night I sprayed it from the hole and i heard it bounce of the limiter but no backfire and it ran consistent with my other times so that is why i did not adjust anything please help I am kind of scared of spraying it again what all should I check change or do before I spray it again to make sure it does not happen again

my opinion what the problems are:

#1 you probably have a wet system
#2 the race gas

I would get a window switch!! Tranny slips a little, and you'll be on the rev limiter with spray - not a good idea! And you need to find out what your fuel pressure is doing - pushing the stock pump a bit far in my opinion...

That's what happened to me, hit the limiter and pcm pulled/cut fuel, and an ensuing lean condition, which in my case blew the intake apart at 7000rpm.
