Default Nitrous Express Octane Booster

Has anyone used the NX octane booster? Nitrous Outlet has it on sale and I was wondering what the results have been with it.

That small of an increase? How much booster did you add to what quantity of gas?

Correct, those octane booster things are all hyped up bullshit. I will admit when i was younger i thought they worked, but after joining this site, i know better. You want higher octane? Buy some 100 Unleaded.

I agree with this statement. Octane booster is a waste on money. Buy a gallon of race gas and mix it with your regular fuel. There is your octand booster, or run race gas all together.

i have found most all octane booster to be **** because they tell you they will boost 20 points. But it takes 10 points to raise the octane 1 number. There is one pretty legit one that they sell at MTI its called octanium. It will boost 5 gallons up to 100octane . And it it comes out to be cheaper if you buy 5 premium unleaded and ad the booster than to buy 5 gallons of racing gas

I have had experiences with regular gas with octane booster and race gas or race gas mixed with regular gas and I trust the race gas mixed the LEAST. You have no idea of how it is mixing. I have done test's myself and they are never the same. My suggestion would be to run a street tune with pump gas or run a race tune with race gas. Mixing is not a good idea to me. I found out the hard way, a $8,000 dollar hard way.

yea it is 17.99 a bottle. so you put 5 glalons of gass in your car for like 15 bucks then add that total comes to about 33 bucks. Go put 5 gallons of racing gas and have found it to be about 5 dollars more or so.. not much but i am a broke college student

I've got a 55 gallon drum of VP110 leaded in my garage right now and didn't want to have to buy a drum of unleaded. I hate having to go on the other side of town to get unleaded race gas and waste most of it on the drive home. Much easier to have a drum of it on hand. I was just looking for a simple way to gain a few points. NX has that booster on their ebay store for $3 a bottle.

you wil have to put about 10 of those NX boosters in your take to get 100 octane.

just posted it in another thread...

TOULENE/ XYLENE MIX. turbo buick guys have been using it for years. it is a REAL octane booster. search it, get the chemicals, mix it up and enjoy your 100+ unleaded octane gas that you made for relatively cheap.

used it in my dsm years ago. could NOT get the thing to knock at all, 25psi ++ adding timing.

Thanks for the help and the links! I will try it on one of my F.I. cars first and then the '01 when I'm ready for Jug.
