OK I'm going with the Wiseco's. And I already have L19's on everything. I have almost spent as much money on this 347 than most would put into a bugger cube motor, due to the fact that I've spent so much on the supporting equipment to handle everything.

Of the pistons you listed I'm guessing they are all 2618 material. That makes them pretty much all the same. Ideally in nitrous applications a 4032 material is better. 300 shot though is small when you look in the big stage of things. Guys with big blocks are spraying 1000ish in nitrous. Compare that to our measly 300 shot.

About a year ago I was talking to the guys at Outlaw about their white TA. They ran stock rods with off the shelf diamond pistons. That car ran mid / high 9s with a turbo 400.

i would think all the piston would put out the same performance as they are all made 4032. however, i voted diamond because thats what im using.

We have some nasty big cubed LSX motors around and more coming, I wonder if we will ever be anywhere near the BBC in capability? Wish I had a dump truck full of cash, lol.

I know Guess Who is spraying 500 on his 4 bolts per head iron block. I don't think we'll be able to hit them like the big block guys are with 1000+ worth of nitrous, but.... With the LSX block out now I haven't seen anyone really try to push the envelope yet. I think we could see 600-700ish. I'll be more than happy if mine lives with half of that.

I have built many motors using a verity of different brands. The key thing no matter what brand is find out what that particular part number is rated to handle. Just because it has a great brand name on the box does not mean it is rated for alot of juice..

Talk to the piston manufacture of your choice and see what piston they recommend for your particular setup.

I have used atleast 7 or 8 different brands. I have hurt motors in my personal car over powering the piston. Knowing the limits of the parts is always your best option.

i've put a few hundred lbs of nitrous to my JE's. I spray a 400 DP shot. I think that whether or not the setup will last has alot to do with the tune and everything working correctly. Chunking plugs or starving for fuel are the most common ways to hurt a nitrous motor. Sure a better piston will give you some insurance if one of these things should happen but the key is to not let one of those things happen.

That's pretty good advice. some people will go through many brands as they destruct, only because their tune is off, and then try and blame the piston. I have also stayed with what works, and try to stay on top of tune.

stock
