Default converter for nitrous

im in the process of a 454lsx build and would like some input of what converter with what stall speed should i use, the tranny is going to be a 4l80e with a transbreak i would also like to spray anywere from 300-450 shot of nitrous so any input would be appreciated

I have had really good luck with Yank convertors. I would contact them and give them a run through of your set up and see what they recommend.

I would also recommend calling Yank, they would be the expert for this type of question.

yank is very good, also contact fuddle racing... they will build you a custom converter based on your engine and mods... very informative website as well. http://www.fuddleracing.com/

I have nothing against Fuddle and have never owned one. But I think Yank would be a better way to go.

Anyone use a Yank SS4000 in a 400 RWHP F-body with an additional 100-150 shot and have good luck?

I'm using a SS3600 with a 150. Yank said the 4000 would probably be too much converter.

Back when we owned the speed shop we installed alot of there convertors the 3600 seem to be the convertor of choice.

Any track time, 60ft ? Waht kind of tire package, slicks or radials?

well i talked to dave at yank and also to some guy at precision and they seem preety good i have tried precision and wasn't to satisfied with their converter, yank told me to go with the pro yank 3600 milti disc converter i might order the converter from them not to sure yet, bryan from lme also told me about another place in houston that makes really good converters and are not a brand name but im still undecided
