damn man im not sure what I want to do...4.11's would benefit me on the motor far more than 3.70's would, and thats where I will be the most...so 4.11's? decisions decisions.

IMO, if the car's gonna be on motor most of the time, then gear it for motor. You can always get a 28 inch radial to run on the street if running out of gear on a highway run is an issue.

My car is a strip only car, way past being able to drive it around, and I wouldn't want to anymore anyway. That being said, if I was gonna keep it n/a, I was gonna go to 4.30's with a 28 inch tire, or 4.56 with a 29.5 tire.

4.11's it is way better on motor and when i start trapping more than 130 we'll swap to 3.89's or 3.73's....

on spray you may have to switch to a 28" anyways because of traction with that m6 . i voted 4:11 but a 3:89 with 28" tires should get you past the stripe on spray before you hit the limiter.

we'll cross that bridge when we get there...going w/ the 4.11's I won't be on spray for a while anyway.

the list before spray.

15" drag wheels/slicks
Twin disk clutch (not sure who yet...looking at McLeod)
UMI tunnel mounted torque arm
UMI SFC's
42 lb'ers.

then after all that and see how low in the 11's I can get...then we'll add the giggle gas, either the new dry maf kit or the nitro daves wet plate...but thats a hard choice.

I love my Nos plate, results have been great. I'd look @ dave's plate seriously if those are your choices.

for sure daves plate is at the top of the list, as well as the HSW plate as far as WET goes...

but I'm also looking HEAVILY at the new NX dry MAF kit w/ the adj. a/f it seems like one hell of a trick piece...we'll see. I need all the other stuff first.

I can chime in a bit. I run MT 315/35/17's, which are almost 26" tall. I made a track run standing on the 6800rpm limiter for the last 200+ feet and it went 124.5mph in 4th gear with 4.11's. I'm about to be swapping over to 3.73's, as the 124.5 was on motor.

4.11's come in Moser 12-bolts too, even though they call them 4.10's. There's 37 teeth on the ring, 9 on the pinion. 37/9 = 4.1111111111111111111111111111.

Running 4.10's in a S60 and will be spraying a 150 shot on either a 325/50R15 or a 325/45R17 tire. I don't really know what affect it had on the motor but it will be better on spray.

i say keep the 4.10 with the 26" tire for when you race n/a
then get a 27" or 28" tire for when you race with the spray

I'm running 28" MT drag radials
Moser 411's
TNT 100 shot
Trapping 125mph at about 6300 rpms.
So there's plenty of room for more mph with my limiter set at 6700.
