I'm hearing this from a bunch of my friends not to put "gas"(what they call it around here) on my car!! They said after shooting a car for a while the car will become slower on motor passes! is this true? i only plan on shootin maybe a 100 or 125 wet on my 01 ls1!! is this true??? does it slowly kill the engine???

if you are shooting that low you shouldn't have a major problem if you are safe with it, and make sure your engine is healthy before hand.

Im not the biggest expert but think of it this way. It is the same exact thing as a turbo or supercharger(more oxygen and more fuel=more power)
The only difference is it is only when you want it and it is at freezing tempatures instead of Very hot temps .

so keep your a/f tuned correctly and only spray at wot with a window and your engine will be just fine

again I am not an expert but I have some experience

and show those Rustangs what is up

Nitrous doesn't kill engines. Morons who don't know how to use nitrous w/(Safety Switches) kill engines.

Just use common sense and do not spray under 3000rpm or over a 125 shot on a unforged motor.

with the right tune you can spray for the longest time with no problems. the wrong tune and you are going to have issues

Just make shore you keep your nitrous pressure right for the jets your using and make shore your fuel pressure is not dropping (safety switch), Lean conditions is were engines get destroyed (piston melt downs) Ive run nitrous on my old 347cid for four years and when i tore it down to freshen it up the pistons looked perfect. Treat nitrous with respect and your engine will last a long time. The only thing that i notice is that nitrous puts a load on the rod and main bearings ,keep good oil in the engine and maintain your nitrous pressure ,to much pressure will cause a lean condition and to little will cause a rich condition witch can cause a nitrous back fire .

YUP... nitrous doesn't kill, stupid people do.
when I was learning, I blew up two engines, luckily they were stock junkers.
Even when you know everything, you can still hurt parts because of greed.
A good tuned 125 shot will last you for years without hurting ****.
Believe me when I say once you hit that 125 for the first time, you won't give a rat's *** what it runs naturally aspirated.

I have an engine at my parents house that was 200k on it and over 200 nitrous passes of 150 -250hp.

go ahead and spray the **** outta it. Like stated in previous posts, get all the good safety switches and a good tune and you will be fine. Ive been spraying a 150 wetshot on my stock shortblock since 58k and now the motor has 120k on it. No issues what so ever.
