Default Problems problems problems

I just put a ls6 manifold on my car, along with 28lb injectors, and i hit the nitrous and the car barely hits, then the exhaust starts popping and i throw it in neutral and it shuts off, i throw it back into gear and it turns on again and runs like ***, then after a few minutes of trying to limp it back home it starts running good, so i go make a few more NA pulls and its running fine with all the power it should have. I cant figure out why its running like this

and for some background info i have a HSW plate with a NOS kit, i havent used the nitrous in a good month or two, and bottle pressure was a bit low (700psi)

what im thinking is that the extra feul from the 28lb injectors vs the 26lb injectors are making it run a bit rich, but could it really make it run that much more rich? with the 26lb'ers i was at a solid 11.6 11.7 a/f ratio across the board. ARGH this thing is giving me a headache, im about to ditch the nitrous system and just throw a cam in this thing. Can anyone lend some info?

That bottle pressure is pretty low. Need a little more info though. What is the set-up for the nitrous system? What size shot? Do you have a fuel pressure safety switch? Did you program for the larger injectors?

I'm only running 100 shot, do you think I'll be good with the slightly bigger injectors?

Is it a wet or dry kit?

Your injectors will be fine. Wet systems do not rely on injectors to add the additional fuel.

700psi is not going to hit hard at all.

Get it to 1000-1050 and hit it.

It will be a night and day difference.

Oh no doubt, the bottle is just low and it takes nearly a half hour to warm up to even 900psi, i need to get it refilled soon. But as for the hit, it dyno'd 436hp and 460tq on 100shot with just boltons with a HSW plate on 900ish psi. Im hoping with the ls6 manifold i'll be making about 450 on the 100shot.

sound like your running rich. try lowering the fuel jetting in your plate.

with the 26lb injectors I was at a steady 11.6 11.7 a/f ratio across the board, with the extra 2lb with of fuel from the 28lb injectors even matter? I guess I'll throw it on the dyno and see what she makes.

Did you change your tune to reflect the change from 26 to 28's on the injectors?

Are you sure that there is nitrous in the bottle?????? You might want to get it filled up then try and spray it with 1000-1050 psi in the bottle and let us know what happens. If it takes a 1/2 hour to warm up theres probably not enough nitrous in the bottle.

ther is quite a difference between 28 lb and 26 lb injectors..you need a tune..or put the 26 lb injectors in and spray the **** out of it at about 1000psi and it will be a world of difference.

I would put the 26lb'ers back in until you can get a tune.

Lol geez, you tune ****'s. Haha jk, im saving up for a tune, the car rarely gets driven anyway, and i hit the nitrous at the most once a month, but a tune is definately the next mod, that and a feul pump. Help me sleep at night.

LMFAO

I was thinking it was a combination of too much fuel and not enough bottle pressure...
