Is this a good compression ratio for nitrous?
I am rebuilding my motor with some Diamond forged pistons, Eagle h-beam rods, and Total Seal Rings. I am going with these Diamond pistons:
Diamond Pistons LS1 Forged Flat Top Piston set w/ -2cc Valve Reliefs, 3.905" BORE / 3.622" Stroke / 6.125" Rods / 1.315" Comp Height / .927 x 2.500
I was told that this would take my compression ratio down a little bit from stock. In addition, I was going to buy a set of heads that I was told have been milled, and that the C.R. on a stock 346 with these heads was 11.2:1.
That being said, my question is what will my C.R. be now with the heads and pistons, and would this be a good C.R. to have for a 200 shot on pump gas. I will also be running a set of ARP head studs. Thanks in advance for your help.
