Default 200 shot with stock bottom end?

Well this Saturday I'm gonna be putting my car on the dyno and my goal is to break the 600hp barrier on the juice. Hopefully my 150 shot can get me real close, but if it doesn't I was thinking of putting in the pills for the 200. I'm still on the stock bottom end. I don't plan on leaving the jets in there. I just want to get some good numbers.

Good idea or bad idea?

If your not going to be taking the 200 pills to the track then i wouldnt bother. Its just a number so dont worry about it.

Shouldn't hurt anything. There are plenty of stock ls1's being hit with 200+ hp.

yeah I would say go with the 200 pills..
stock bottom can handle it.. low mileage should be no problems.

Give it hell then

What kind of dyno are you running on? Those are some STOUT all motor numbers. i would normally expect that combination to be in the 430-440 range, especially with a 9 inch. A4 or M6?

It was on a dynojet with an m6 through the stock rearend. My 9" was added later. With that and always running on my nitrous tune now, I'm sure I've lost about 25hp. I've been thinking about it a lot and it might be best to spray the 200 so I can get some wideband readings in case I ever do want to hit it with that at the track sometime.

You think I should pull some timing before hand, or just hit it with my tune for the 150 and then correct if there's any knock from the 200pills.

I was 550rwhp I think with 150 shot and 8" converter and TH400, so you might get there on 150 shot if you make strong numbers on motor. Don't go nuts with timing advance.

tnt kits make great power they rate their hp numbers to the rear wheels, on a stock ls1 i think someone did a tnt kit and it made like 600tq and like 5 something hp so i think the 150 pills are enough........when i had my tnt kit with the 150 i was dominating here on the street races

Yeah, I used to run a NOS dry kit and it felt like nothing compared to how hard the TNT kit hits.

The 150 shot is your safety point. There are plenty of peoplke spraying more but go into it knowing its a chance you are taking. Make sure the tune up is right and you have enough fuel supply.

I to plan to spray a 200 shot every once in a while but a 150 all the time. I plan to use the 200 on my dyno day because I want to know that it will be safe if I decide to use them at the track.

i ddi 575 and 618 on a 150 A4 setup last year. 150 and put the 200 in every now and then you say? haha thats how i started, if it takes the 200 once why not twice, well how about a 225 shot...and so it starts. good luck man

i got my best numbers also ramping the timing up, 25 at 3k, ending a 28 @5k. all on pump gas

I have taken our local Dyno Day Challenge the last two years in a row. Nice big trophy for the garage, lol. Both times were dry hits, and this last year was about a 200shot. The year before I did a 280rwhp shot on my stock LS6, won the over all numbers; but also broke a ring land with 665rwtq down low. Doable for sure, if the tune is spot on. With that said, nothing is a guarantee, so it's your call, I would.

a progressive controller will get rid of that torque spike, and make it last longer.
