Default msd twister or timing tuner?

i'm going to buy 1 or the other this week. the only disadvantage to the twister seems to be a window switch? i need to pull upto 6-8 degrees.

I've run the timing tuner for 6 years ,it works great. I have it pull timing , delay the nitrous hit at the launch and use the window switch to turn off the N2O between shifts. It also has a high rpm limit that turns the N2O off before You hit the cars rev limiter. I 've been thinking of buying the MSD twister, it's bound to be a good buy. You would have to buy a window switch like you stated. MSD also makes one, I'm using it to lock up the torque conveter on the top end. It works well and is easy to program. You can't go wrong either way.

Not at all just read the directions a couple of times. And note that the Crank Position Sensor is right behind the starter. Just like anything else take your time and do a good job with the wiring. Very simple to use.

i got the timing twister, but still have not installed it yet. Been sitting in the garage for 2 months along with my n2o setup. I should have it all installed in the next couple of weeks though, which will be too late for you to know how i like it. but looks very simple to install and work!

I just ordered the Timing Twister.. I had a Timing Tuner, but never used it. The Timing Tuner looked like a cheap piece to me, but I'm sure it would have worked just fine.

I think I'm going to remove my console and mount the shifter directly to the floor and make an aluminum stand to mount the Timing Twister on and mount it directly to the floor on the trans tunnel somewhere.. Probably gonna put the wideband monitor on the same stand too. I think that would look pretty good myself!

that's the same thing i thought about the looks. the twister looks easier to use and maybe quicker to have repaired if you have a problem.

Just finished hooking up my new Timing Twister. Pretty straight forward. Hot wire, ground. Cam and crank sensors plug into twister harness. Twister harness plugs into cam and crank sensor locations. Easy to set. Don't think you can go wrong with MSD.

Where's the best place to get one of these Twisters? The kit I ordered is coming with a MSD window switch but no timing control.

You can get the MSD Twister from Summit or Jegs. The glove box is a good place to mount it, it fits in there nicely. The MSD is a good unit, the Timing Tuner has more functions.

Since you already have a window switch the MSD Timing Twister will fit your needs perfectly.

I Bought A Has Interface... The Only Downside Is You Really Need Hptuners To Use It Properly..

Without Hp Tuners The Unit Really Couldent Pull Timeing As There Is A Iat Retard Multpulier Table In My Tune That Way Reduceing The "3 Deg" Max Timeing Pull Down To 1.5

After Resetting Some Tables In Hp Tuners Im Hopeing This Thing Can Pull Whatever Ammount Of Timeing I Want Now
