Default nitrous = less power?

i put a 150 shot nitrous on my car. as soon a i hit it i bogs the motor down. it's way to rich (10.9 afr). so i set the fuel down 5 jet sizes and the same thing happend but not as bad. then i set it down another 5 for a total of ten sizes small on the fuel sizes. same thing happends. my next step is to step up the nitrous size. the question i have is what is causing the car to be so rich? could the car have an aftermarket fuel pump or injector both

thanks for ant help you can give me
daniel

Fuel aint your problem,

Have you visible checked to see if the nitrous is spraying? I bet your noids stuck closed.

I'd put the jets back to where they're suppose to be before you blow your engine up

You're not spraying! As said before, put the jets back the way they should be and visually inspect that the nitrous is spraying.

Good luck.

1. Take out your nozzle, disconnect your fuel line at the rail and put the shrader (sp) valve back in.

2. Prepair the car to spray (open bottle, turn on switches etc.)

3. With you under the hood, have someone hold the throttle where the RPMs are above the opening of your window switch.

4. Manually push the WOT switch.

5. Watch for nitrous to come out.

we had this happen on a freinds car at the dyno, one of the wires was grounding out not letting it spray nitrous so it was just a fuel shot. id check and make sure the noid is clicking

Definitely sounds like the nitrous solenoid isn't opening.. Disconnect the fuel solenoid wiring and then pull the fogger nozzle out where you can see it and hit the WOT switch or push button that you have hooked up to make it spray. I'd be willing to bet that you won't see anything come out. More than likely have a boo-boo in your wiring somewhere.

Check to make sure you didn't burn up a fuse. I had that problem when I did my install. Was like wtf! I ran all the wires again and then started pulling fuses and sure enough one was blown.

So you are saying that you checked to see if the nitrous solenoid was working and nitrous actually sprayed out of the nozzle and you saw it with your own two eyes??

That's funny. I run my Harris kit at 1050 and haven't ever had a problem with them sticking shut
