Just wired up my msd timing twister and now my ses light is on. Car runs fine and everything is workin as it should. Anybody else had this problem and have any clue as to what it is? Also did you have to modify the cam sensor plug? I had to cause it wasn't cut just right and would not go in till i trimmed some off of the top of the plug where it should have had a valley but didn't on the msd piece. I double checked all the connectors and everything was plugged in, but the power light is blinking on the unit. From what the directions say i believe it blinks till it is actually pulling timing and i'm not pulling timing yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Man, my car is doing the same thing. Have you checked to see what code or codes it's showing? Mine is showing cam sensor bank 1. I have replaced both 02 sensors and cam sensor since install. Had SES light reset today and it was on again before I got to the corner. Same codes. I had the same question. Has anybody else run into this problem? I was going to pull the intake off tomorrow and recheck connection before I unhooked it. Have had several different opinions but most center on either bad connection, bad harness. Would really like to know for sure. Supposed to run car in Pinks Allout in two weeks. Sorry, wasn't trying to hijack your thread.

Yeah, car runs alright but is hard to start after you drive it for awhile. I tried plugging pigtails into each other to eliminate box and it won't start at all. It has to be a problem with the harness or the box. Never had any trouble before. Was hoping to get a little help from here.

well see mine has no problems, starts fine, runs fine and even run fine when i plugged it into itself bypassing the box. maybe your problem is a bit different than mine. Did you have to modify your cam sensor plug?
No, I didn't have to modify the plug. It seemed to fit OK. Guess I'll pull the intake back off this afternoon when I get off work and check connections again. Have you run scanner to see what codes you're showing?

haven't had a chance to get the codes scanned, planned on doing that tomorrow cause i'm at work today. I might end up pulling the intake off to check that connection. I gots to hurry alls i can say. It is supposed to go back on the dyno next week and going to the track on the 30th.
Just talked with you on the phone.....Timing twister is not a dynotune product, not sure who sells them? MSD??? If you have any questions about the lean shutdown switch im here to help
Same here. Suppose to run this weekend. First time since car has been back together. Supposed to run in Pink's next weekend. Hell of a time to be having problems. Gonna try calling MSD before I pull intake again. I'll post if he can tell me anything.

ha, i called msd earlier and they wasn't a whole lot of help.... only thing they told me was to check the connectors and make sure one of the pins wasn't bent out of shape.... Probably the same thing he will tell you.... lol
MSD never even called back. Will try again tomorrow. Pulled intake and disconnected twister this afternoon. Getting light reset in the morning. If it stays off I guess I'll be running motor only.

ok, well i pulled my intake off when i got home from work, and i'll be damned if i didn't find the problem...... Normally i probably wouldn't post this because it really makes me look like a dumb ***, but just for everyone else's sake i'm going to. Well it seems that i had the cam position sensor plugged into the wrong spot..... I had it plugged into the intake temp sensor. Wouldn't have figured they would have put to plugs almost exactly alike (and i say that is cause i had to trim a little piece of the msd plug for it to go in) so close to each other. So for anyone else going to put this in, just go ahead and pull your intake to put it on so you don't make a retarded mistake like i did. Of course you can't see the plugs back there so it is strictly feel for one and go for it, it was much easier once i got the intake moved out of the way. All is good now no check engine lights. hrlyrdr hope you get yours figured out.
Hell, I wish that would have been my problem. I would have admitted I was a dumbass! LOL! I pulled my intake off and ended up disconnecting twister. MSD never bothered to call back. Didn't get much help in here, did we? Kinda ended up talking to each other. Guess I'll be running N/A at Pinks next week. Glad you figured it out. Good Luck at the track.
