Nitrous, Glide w/brake and launching???
I have had many stick cars with nitrous, turbos with sticks and turbo with a brake and TH400.
One thing I have not had is any cars with Nitrous and auto with a brake.
My question is this. Do I need to use the brake launching or just foot brake it or leave at idle?
I know what I am thinking I will do but wanted to see some other guys techniques.
This is a basic heads, cam ,intake engine with a 200 shot. I also have a glide with a brake, very lightweight car and a killer suspension for drag race only. I do not street this car .
It has a 3.70 gears.
Any thoughts?

I would say use the trans brake. But if you're spraying a 402 off the line with a 200 and trans brake, you'd better have your suspension dialed in.
My buddy's '02 346 launching with just a foot brake and a 200 shot was cutting 1.3x 60's. But in case you're wondering, here's another buddy's car with a trans brake and a 200 shot off the line:

I have a glide with a brake and my car does much better foot braking it. Just give it enough gas to get the "slack" out of the drivetrain, I do 22-2600 rpm's and then just smack it off the converter. I knocked off almost a full 10th off my 60' by doing that.

well I tried it out today . On the brake at 3500 it didnt have any "flash" to it therefor nothing spectacular. 1.57 60 ft.
I then lowered it to 2500 on the brake and went 1.42 60ft. I will try to foot brake it next time. The track officals bumped me out since I went a 9.91, car is certified but I didnt have any safety atire on for that , wasnt expecting to go 9's at all.

i run a glide and a brake however i run a 2 step in the car.
on the spray i have it set up at 3200 and it seems to work best. on motor i bump up to 3500-3700 and that seems to work well. better then a foot brake IMO because the class i race in a pro tree. hard to foot brake it that fast and have it right on for a class
