Default question about how much the motor can hold

I just build a forged motor, Diamond pistons -2cc, total seal nitrous steel top ring set, eagle h beam rods and arp 2000 bolts. Cometic head gaskets, PRC 5.3 2.5 heads. I will be going direct port. How much can I safely spray on that combo? I was hoping 300-400. What do you guys think? Thanks.

a 250 to 300 shot running a progressive probally but what are the rings gapped for. this depends on if you run a standalone. what Fuel pump alot of variables. Who built it? My 370 I have ran over 40 bottles running a 200 but is gapped for that. still going

Based off your information, I'd hit it with 300 if you've got the fuel.

This is true....reason is because the tune starts getting very important after 250 pills. 300+ had better have a good tune or it won't last. It doesn't matter weather it is a built motor or a stock motor. Stock LS1s are very strong. We run a 11.5:1 hydrolic roller 408 with a Speedtec plate on 350 pills. We have all 8 EGTs and a wideband. Just be careful and flow your fuel pressure on the fogger. Don't mess around with that fogger, or you will blow the motor up......If you really want the motor to last, send the intake and fogger and the fuel system to a professional to get it all flowed. They will give you a new jet spread and check all the orifices in the regs and solenoids.

^^^ very true. I dont even bother with a forged setup unless I plan tp exceed roughly 650 crank hp. Why pay extra to run the same HP? On the OP setup I would definately take it up to around 700-750 rwhp total. I would do it in stages though.

Alright thanks guys. To answer a few posts, it is gapped for nitrous applications >150. I think that for the street though I'll stick her around 150 shot. I don't feel comfortable throwing 750rwhp down on the street especially when 300 of that is nitrous. It just seems like something that would be more acceptable for the track. I don't want to put this thing into a tree or the ditch....

a 200 shot dual stage is a nice setup. 100 on at 3000 and another 100 on at 4800 is a real smooth 200 total. It also is easy on parts and should last a long time.

This is probably a completely dumb question but I'm new to nitrous and want to learn and understand it. How do you go about setting up a dual stage system?
