Does nitrous go bad? I had two bottles filled and went to the track. I run 12.5s on straight engine. I pilled up to 200, pulled 5 degrees, turned on the HPT scanner(no KR during the run), am running colder -8 level NGK plugs gapped at .032, running a standalone fuel system, progressive controller, NitrousOutlet LS2 plate system, NX midsize noids the came with the 20920 EFI kit, 860 bottle heater and had 1000+ PSI, running C16 fuel. I ran a 12.6 on motor, made 2 more rounds on the nitrous and made no more speed or reduction in ET but successfully drained the bottle. I pilled up to 300HP and finally reduced my ET to 11.92. Is my Vig 3500 9.5" converter killing me or what? I told them to build it for nitrous. Spark plugs not able to handle it? Two full passes with the 200 shot and a few play shots the 10 lb bottle is empty. I switched to 300 pills and a new bottle and pulled a total of 10 degrees of timing from my NA tune and got just .6 degree of KR on the scanner. Any ideas where my ETs went?

maybe they filled both tanks with compressed air only. I didnt weigh them afterwards. They felt heavier. My 1st tank only weighs 15 lbs now but still has 850 PSI of air only in it. Weird.

Traction is no issue, Caltracs and 28x10.5x15 Hoosier slicks tieing it to the ground. 10.1 was the AFR reading. I'll probably try some runs Wednesday night at my local 1/8th mile track and get some more AFR readings.
thats way rich and your leaving a lot of power on the table. I wouldnt bother running it until you figure out the problem with the truck. make sure you weigh your bottle after you get it filled and verify your around 25 pounds. Where is your bottle located, i would think if you had a leak that severe you would notice it the second you opened the bottle.
Oh what the hell lets just throw 200 hp. at it and see what the **** happens.
When we ran Nitrous one of gauges looked at on a regular basis was the Nitrous Pressure Gauge BEFORE THE RUN. Even had a little heater to insure all runs were made as close as possible, pressure, as was possible. Before the run I remembered the pressure, after the run along with the results the pressure was read again. Then everything about the run was written in the book. I don't know why in hell you guys SHORT CUT................. I'll never understand why anyone would install 200 hp pills out of the box. One can only assume you've never run Nitrous before. Please tell me your system worked fine last year. This year you went bigger!!

What do you mean there is something wrong with the truck? What do you see wrong with the truck? Its a solid 12.57 setup N/A making over 100 passes with this reliable combination before switching over to nitrous.

The bottle is mounted in the back corner of the truck bed, next to the tailgate. The valve is pointed toward the front of the truck. The label is mounted upwards per the NX instructions. It is mounted on an 860 bottle heater at its controlled angle. The truck sits level so the nitrous fluid puddles at the back corner where the siphon tube is supposed to be.
sorry, didnt mean for you to read it that way. i meant with your system on the truck, not the motor istelf

the valve/handle/outlet is facing forward and the hose is coming out of the bottom of the valve.
What are the jet sizes for the nitrous plate for 300 and 400 HP settings? The sizes quoted to me by the NitrousOutlet phone rep doesn't sound correct using any online calculator I've found. Would someone post up the jet sizes for an LS2 plate with 58 PSI and standard 1000-1050 bottle pressure.

I had the same problem I would always get my bottle refilled when it was 20lbs and somehow it was filled with mostly air. I am not sure if it was a bad batch of nitrous or if over time it's good to completely empty the bottle before a refill. I figured it out when I disconnected the nitrous line from the nozzle and activated the system and sprayed it I was holding the line in my hand and the tip did not get cold or frosty. I sprayed it again on a wrench and nothing, so I sprayed it again and put my hand in fron tof it and it was all air not cold at all. when and got my bottle filled at another located and everything is fine.
Well I know my car is not a truck and I am using a dry kit but on a 75 shot with bottle pressure at 800 PSI my car went from 12.45 at 114 MPH NA to 11.94 at 118 MPH with my old stock engine with 91K miles on it. I had my AFR at around 11.8.
I would say something is wrong with the nitrous setup. I do not think it is your converter!
