Default What AFR to shoot for on 100 shot Stock Bottom End

Just wondering what you guys think I should shoot for.

I have the LC-1 Wideband, 100 dryshot I usually try to keep the bottle @ around 900-1000 psi to keep the initial hit from being too hard.

Right now I am right around 12.5.

Is this too far on the edge? I am basically using the PE mode to richen it up over 3k which is where I spray.

Please guys tell me your thoughts

11-12 a/f. i try for 11.5. you can go leaner but the hp isn't worth it for me if it's even there.

I am getting no knock at 12.5 but it worries me since most say what you say?

Has anyone spray 100 @12.5 for any substantial period?

in my opinion that is too lean, mine on the 100 shot wet, 950psi is 11.5-11.8. Its 12.8 on motor.

Thats really lean. As stated before, I'd shoot for a target range of 11.5-11.8 AFR

I shoot for 12.7 on motor, and 11.5 on spray. I'll drop down to 11.2 on a 200 shot though.

are you suggesting a 175?

Im still on stock clutch so it might be an exercise in futility.

Yea, a stock motor and a 100 shot the cylinder pressures are not very bad. So, you'll likely cause no harm. Some would consider this the edge, but IMO, hardly. Hell some of the record times I was setting in the Z06 stock LS6 with a small dry shot were this lean and leaner. So, it really depends on your comfort level and I like tuning to the "edge", but also understand the ramifications if something goes wrong. This is where it gets personal choice, running this lean you have removed a nice safety net compared to a 11.5:1 ratio, so if you have an issue elsewhere would your motor survive? Probably would, but can you afford this if things go wrong and you need repairs? I always new i could eventually blow my motor, but that was my goal from the beginning to see how far a stock motor could be pushed, and i will tell you these LSx motors can handle a lot of abuse (old threads can give insight on my stock motor). Now with all that said, if you can, get it into at least the high 11's.
