I just paid 119$ to get my bottle exchanged last week. Was the 224$ with the lease?Thats still to much.
I always have to haggle with my "dealer" to get the right price.

i know this is an old thread, but using the freeze and fill method are you able to use all of the nitrous out of the mother bottle. i think if you are using one without a siphon tube you could. what about one with a siphon tube?

+1 they do the same to me all the time, the most frustrating was when i moved.

I had an account setup back home and was paying around 107$ for a bottle. I moved out of state so i returned in my mother bottles but the guy told me they had an office in my new town and to just go in and pick up what i needed once i got here because he was leaving my account opened. I so i get out here and go to pick up a bottle and the charge me $225ish I stood there and argued for 20 minuets about a better price and he wouldnt budge. so i left, went home and got one of my old receipts from before the move showing $107 for a bottle and went back. at this point he finialy broke and gave it to me for half of his original price at 112$

BTW, I have an NX filling station with billet pump and digital scale, i wouldn't say it was worth it but i have it, its paid for now so i use it and like it. it was one of those crazy inpulse buys. I thought "i'll sell n2o to all my buddys at the track and make some money" it didnt work that way lol

1)yes, you'll need to setup an account
2)they dont have the time to fill small personal use tanks they sell in large volume
3)you freeze the bottle because your basically just equalizing the pressure between the mother bottle and your 20#er if the small bottle is frozen it will lower the pressure of it and allow you to fill it with more N2O. having a fill staion gets rid of the need to freeze but also cost a lot more.
4)freeze the 20#er

I have a pump station and fill that way so im not really 100% on the procedure of filling the other way, im sure someone will chime in with some tips.

I bought a chest freezer from sears and I keep 6 bottles in it. I usually freeze my bottles over night and I have never had a problem filling them, they usually get over filled.

are you serious? i get my big bottle for $60.00 and that is delivered.

and the freeze method works but doesnt get all the gas out. i have a fill kit. and i can get about 4 10lb fills out of the freezer mod. then have to pump the last 20lb

What brand pump are you using? How l;ong does it take to fill a 15lb bottle?

races shops here usually fire up about 3 small torches and put them around the mother bottle...freeze small bottle for 30 min, and let it rip..it would take a lot of bottle filling to make it cost efficient to buy a pump...i have had better luck and more use out of bottles that are not pumped it seems..im getting ready to start doing mine and my friends..getting it from Arcet
