I sprayed my stock lt1 car with a 150 for years with no problem. I used tr6 plugs and put race gas in it for safety measures when going that high as well. Forgot to add it had 6 degrees of timing taken out of it too.

Well im not sure what kind of timing a stock lt1 runs but with enough fuel and if your on stock tune id think ud be fine. Possibly maybe jet the fuel jet on the rich side like alittle bit bigger then the jet chart says. We have sprayed numerous stuff I sprayed a stock 91 gmc with a 150 hit no problems. I had the timing up on the truck so high if I would go any higher it would ping and I sprayed it like that and didnt have any trouble. Obviously I probably wouldnt do that on my performance vehicle it but id prob hit it with the 150.

changed the plugs otherwise stock. I personally wouldnt do it on an LT1, but im sure there are people that have with no problems. Seems anybody sprayin with out caring about blowing up their engines seems to last forever. Anybody that sprays and cant afford to blow it up...well always happens lol

Staying conservative on the timing is one easy way too keep your ringlands happy and motor together. In the OP's case, at the BARE MINIMUM I'd use 100 octane to help against detonation. If you're running full timing (or if you've had a tune you could very well be running more than stock timing) you're asking for trouble with a shot that big on a stock bottom end IMO. Either pull some timing or throw in some 100octane/octane booster.
