The car runs well. Was that the best pass to date?

Nice run!!

Throw some DR on it and enter it in the LSX race.

Is the tranny legal?

The car is set up for Nostalgia Pro Street. We run a Liberty 5 speed which isn't legal in any LSX class. Also we run a big tire. Really with the small block we are going to go to a smaller tire. We have run some 33x10.5W tires with good results. In NPS we are only allowed 1 stage. In the DR class you weould have to use several kits to manage the tire with stock suspension. Ours is a 4 link also.

The car weighs just over 3000 punds with me in it. And yes that is the best pass to date.
We have been testing only to the 1/8 mile as that is easier on time and parts. This past weekend was the first time that we ran it with nitrous to the 1/4.

Do you think you will be able to still run deep sevens with the changes you would have to make to run in the DR class at the shootout??

He is still 200 lbs over the minimum weight also. I don't know if there is 200 lbs in the car he can pull out though. He will drop a few going to the smaller wheel/tire combo though.

From what Tuff (John) told me at Joliet it is. I am sure that if it is not someone will chime in.

We made a list, the first 100 is possible, the next 100 is going to be costly.

So, the real question. Are you willing to do what it takes for a nitrous car to be competitive in the DR class? If anything you should bring the car to the shootout and arrange some sort of grudge race.

That is the Quickest and Fastest Nitrous LSX pass to date, congrats. Especially on 1 kit only, and 3000 lbs to boot.

Again the car is a Nostalgia Pro Street car.
It was at the LSX Shootout last year but we didn't spray it. We were just shaking it out.
It will be at the LSX Shootout trying to give the big blocks a run for the money in NPS.
The turbo cars remain very tough. They will be going .40s or faster by October. This engine in a legal chassis and a legal transmission as well as 2 more kits would be behind the turbo cars.........
BTW, our 60' needs work, we are leaving 2 tenths in the 60'

One kit, NOS Fogger

NOS Launcher Controller set at 100% from the hit.

The heads are modified GMPP C5R with the new LSX port design and 6 bolts. The port design is the "small" version. We are hoping to see the larger version when they are released.

(tuff = Michael by the way)

Congrats on the new best, heard about it though I wasn't able to stick around. That's definitely the nitrous record for an LSx, the next fastest would be the two cars that ran 8.2's.
