Just from reading your post you are probably well above max operating rpm. My boat is suggest max rpm 4600-4800. I run 5000 rpm max wot till I trim so much it unhooks from cavitation This is on a 14.5x23 prop 3 blade. I would suggest you try more prop on the boat if you are just looking for top end. I actually have 3 props for my boat and switch them out depending on what I am doing. 4 blades are very nice but for top end your pitch is not enough.
What is your prop width/pitch?
What lower unit are you running?

its a brand new merc prop.
so i want to trim it up to the 4800 ish area and it should pick up.

That is what they say. I read a prop shoot out article a couple years ago and they said something along the lines of it being ok to tickle the limiter.
I run rivers and lakes so my boat doesn't come out of the water very often.
I think your boat has more in it just from prop change for top end. I would try some of your friends prop if they let you. I know some places have prop exchange programs to find the best one for you. iboats.com does something like this.

I found this calc. It seems to be close. Check it out. http://continuouswave.com/cgi-bin/propcalc.pl

So is it worth it mess with a kit on an ocean boat jumping out of the water often? I can see a river and lake craft benefiting from it. Noyzee, will your boat stay planed out to utilize N2O for the additional MPH?

I just put around on lakes and have not ran the boat in the ocean... I've thought about adding some spray to it for the occasional jet boat on the water as I have a propped 20' with a 350. I'd be interested in more info on Marine N2O experiences...
