He does. You can see them in the picture. All he needs is the red SATA cable. I doubt he has one laying around...

Ya I got one laying around...it's just not long enough. See attachment.

So how much for one hard drive? I gotta buy a Sata cable too i guess.

Yea, that one would be fine. You could probably get away with a 12" or maybe even shorter.

It appears as though monoprice doesn't have anything else smaller. And it's 3 bucks shipped, can't complain.

Would you happen to know why my motherboard fan kicks into high gear on youtube videos or a page full of .gifs, but has no problem playing 720p .mp4 files?

It requires more effort to load things online like that compared to a file that's already on your hard drive.
