lawn mower/kart/racing/toy thing
this is a lawn mower project i was working on but decided to sell to build a shifter kart. it's a Toro lawn mower. originally had an 11hp briggs with a 5-speed transmission with neutral and reverse. i tried to hype up the engine too much and blew it up litterally (bypassed the governor and advanced the timing). so i did a conversion to a 14hp kohler command motor. this is a very nice motor and even has an oil filter. fresh oil in it and few hours on the motor. it has electric start although has no battery, but is wired for a battery.
"performance" mods:
14hp kohler command motor
dual exhaust system
bigger driveshaft pulley
visual mods:
chrome painted rims
8-ball shifter ****
reapholstered seat
fresh paint job (no overspray)
custom hand painted racing stripes
various chrome painted parts
dual exhaust
butterfly style steering wheel
relocated shifter
lowered seat
angled steering column
ground lights (with battery hooked up)
chrome safety power switch
longer wheelbase
needs:
brake system (pedals already in place)
any other questions feel free to ask. there's too many things to list that has been altered. this is a great buy for anyone looking to race a lawn mower, buy your kid a toy, buy yourself a toy or to even put the deck back on and impress your neighbors. this thing is already quick and with a little work could easily go up to 30 mph. plenty more pictures upon request (alex_jbaker@yahoo.com)
$250 obo - local pick up only please

ha ha. yeah mine does wheelies but also has decent top end speed. i did almost flip it over backwards once. but i cheated. i was going up a big hill and dropped the clutch with it in 5th gear.
anyways it's really fun and totally perfect for anyone that likes to get wasted and has a mullet. or just anyone that wants something fun to play around with.
