Lt1 Parts: SLP Ram Air hood, intake, custom cam.
SLP Ram air hood - $600(sold pending funds) I'm selling my ram air hood that use to be on the car. Its red and is a SLP Ram Air HO hood. The hood has been opened up for a true ram air setup(rain baffles removed and inlet on the inside of the hood is expanded. Its in excellent shape and if your car is red its ready to bolt on. This hood is finished and has a great paint job on both sides. The underside looks just like the top unlike alot of your other aftermarket hoods. Its OEM quality. This is from slp's site
"This is the original OEM hood that was used on the LT1/LT4 Pontiac Firehawk. The hood scoop can be made functional with a unique SLP air box (purchased separately) that adds up to 15 horsepower with a cold-air ram effect. Constructed of high quality OEM composite materials this hood is ready for prep, prime and paint. Detailed instructions are included. This hood is manufactured from an OEM-quality resin transfer mold (RTM) process for a strong, durable hood"
SLP upper and lower ram air box. $250.00 Its set up for this hood. Slots have been opened up and it seals to the hood.
Custom LT1 Cam(was in 96 TA) $200 Hyd Roller Comp Cam 242/252 .594/.594 108LSA. In full street trim (through the muffler, unlocked 4000 vig, etc...) 395 at the wheels.
Now in full race trim (cutout open, belt droped, & converter locked) 440 rwhp 395 rwtq . This was a ported stock heads/cam stock bottom end lt1 and went 11.2s in same car. Maybe 1000 miles on this cam.

It was driven as a daily in a stock cube car for a while. As with anything else its all depending on your tuner and how much you can put up with. It was driven in a big stalled car so I can't speak on how drivable it is at low rpms in a standard. My guess it it would be fine and no more radical than your bigger "common" cams out there.
