Default Glasstek 4" Hood FS Firebird/Trans Am

The hood was bought in the interest of saving weight and lowering operating temperatures. It definitely weighs much less then stock and definitely allows the engine to run cooler. All the pictures are with the hood in its current form which is sanded to its base finish. Its going to need much sanding if it's going to be painted which won't be hard, there was white spraypaint on it when I got it and looked terrible.

The hood fits quite well for a non oem production hood. The gap isn't as tight as stock but is dead even all the way around as long as the installer mounts it properly.

As far as price PM me, I got the hood real cheap so I'm pretty negotiable. As far as shipping goes this thing is going to be killer to ship. I'm located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania but the hood is located in Hermitage Pennsylvania. About an hour north of pittsburgh. I'm willing to take the hood a decent distance if the price is right. It's up to the purchaser though if they want it shipped but I would greatly prefer some sort of local meet-up or other non-shipped arrangement.

If anyone knows what company Glasstek uses to ship these hoods, or what the best way to ship them is. Let me know and I will get price quotes, I had FedEx give me a quote of 800 dollars one time and the hood doesn't even cost that much brand new so I know there has to be a cheaper way.

It's extra now. Just ended up not using the hood and didn't want to pay to have it sprayed.

I like it but I wouldn't put it on my car unless I was flirting with 1000 hp

It's a great choice for guys who don't want to try and track down a stock hood.
