I made a little more visual progress this weekend on my motorhome project. I got the Allison bolted up and raised up until it hit the floor of the living room. I need to clearance the corner a little (about an inch or so). Then I need to modify the existing transmission cross member and relocate it for the trans.

I still need to do some old wire cleanup and removing some components from the motorhome that are no longer needed (fuel pump, fuel line, speedo cable, etc.) I know it probably would have been easier to remove that stuff before putting the engine and trans in, but I just couldn't wait. I wanted to see some visual progress. Slowly but surely it is coming together.
Thanks again Mike for coming over and adding some muscle for that behemoth trans.

Well I showed up at 4:00 to get some dyno time. Unfortunately for me they were tuning a turboed 94 RX7. They have a lounge area that you sit, drink custom blend coffee or water and watch 2 widescreen monitors, one that shows whats going on in the dyno room, and another that shows the dyno runs. Plus a wide window to look from. They have a class act going. The RX was making 548 hp when I first got there, and the numbers kept climbing. At 5:00 they were still working on the RX so I had to leave. But before I left they changed the plugs. The hp jumped 30 horses to 628hp. I don't know anything about turbos but you could hear that thing scream from 75 mph up.
As for me I rescheduled for next Mon.

I also added the SLP Power Flo add on kit that has two extra resonators to my obnoxious, sounding, older style SLP Loudmouth I exhaust system that had only one inline resonator. I wonder if the add on Power Flo took power away.
I admit that the car made and makes unusual power with only bolt ons, but a gain of only 9.69 / 4.00 doesn't seem like much of a gain for an LS6 intake +
I asked how much more could I get from a tune. They said I'd be lucky to get another 10 hp out of a tune while stock.
So let me think about this : $300.00 for a tune ( the car is already HP Tuner licensed ) 10 hp into $300.00 equals $30.00 per 1 hp

I never tuned it. My son bought an HP tuner with credits for his 2001 WS6, 2005 Vette, and my Camaro. Other than removing the AIR codes, Cag, and resetting fan temp turn on / off, nothing else has been done. And I wouldn't know where to start

Well guys I finally got my motor tore down. Just waiting to get pistons and rods so I can take it to the shop to have it bored. Any of you Guys know where I could find some good forged pistons and not pay a arm and a leg..lol.. And maybe some forged H beam rods as well.
