Sad thing is most "imports" are now built in the US and supply thousands of American jobs. Of course I have 2 Dodges, 1 Ford, and 1 Chevy. I believe in supporting the "BIG 3"

The 572 ZL1 car was built on a 93 Chassis and did not get the LSx nose until 1998-1999. I will have to search and see if I can find the original pic's. IF You look real close it still has a LT1 hood One of the nicest ever made IMHO.
If you look HERE you can clearly see the LT1 dash and 93 only yellow gauses and accsents
Next the LT5 on the List is a definately in a 3rd gen Chassis. It was just in a Magazine again and many of us have seen it in person at the Camaro show

And thats just what they want you to think. Theres more to it than that though. The long and short of it is for every one of those jobs that import companies supply it may cost many more. But anyway, it sucks to see things like this happen. And the reality of it is this may just be the beginning.

So I will just have to let it go. I never said they made a bad car just not as good as they lead you to believe. If you want one fine, but it will be a cold day in hell or a decree from the Savior himself before I shell out my cash on an import name plate.
At anyrate sad to see that stuff on the auction block. I guess they have to in order to show they mean business about getting through this.
Wish I had enough money to buy some. Some real automotive history right there!

You can search them on the barrett jackson website to see how much they sold for, example:
