Default Got the ball rolling again!

so i've had this nova since i was 14. it was a numbers matching rust free, 71 SS 375hp 396, 4 speed, 12 bolt car when i got it. build sheet and all. but it was in pieces! bought it as it sat for $1500 with all the parts. me and my buddy steve built it as our first project, in the back corner of my dad's shop on a high school budget... but it worked! we put it together with a 388ci small block, TH400, 3500 stall converter, 373 geared 8.5" ten bolt, and we had fun with it! it might have been 7 different colors, but it was fun! then about a year ago Timmy (salvagez28) fellow tech member convinced me to paint it. then we tore it all apart for paint, Timmy laid several coats of HUGGER orange on it and made it look GORGEOUS for me. then it sat for about 7 months, now... the ball is finally rolling again to get it done!

this weekend we got the subframe finished, smoothed out, welded up, and painted, and we started bolting on the suspension components, hooked up the new heater, new heater core, sealed the heater box, and kicked some *** on it!!

so far we got on:

global west upper & lower controll arms
QA1 coilovers
McGaughys chromoly drop spindles
Engergy Suspension Poly body mounts
Speed inc. quick ratio manual steering box

and lots more to come!

i also ordered all of the last pieces i need for the motor from texas speed
needless to say, i'm getting pumped up about it again! and in 2 weeks, i'm going to be parting out a 98 Z28 and i'll have all of my brakes for this thing, so hopefully i will have the car rolling again soon! just thought i'd share with you all what i got done. i'll attach some pics

no sir! that car has all of the interior and heater. i mean it has lightweight wheels, and i've taven some weight out of the car, but the last time i had it on the scales it was 2680 dry lol the 68-72 nova's are one of the lightest muscle cars around.

Cool, What ever happened to the 12 bolt and 4 spd? I had a 73 venterua as my first car. It was pontiacs version of the Nova IIRC mine was quite a bit heavier than that though. With the pontiac 350 a turbo 350 and a 10 bolt I thoght it was right around 3200ish.

I have the 396, 4 speed, and 12 bolt all packed away in the back corner of the shop. I actually have the original build sheet, broadcast sheet, documentation showing it's all numbers correct matching.
