All my mods are as follows. OK E3 plugs, MSD wires, under drive pullys, air foil, TB by pass, 160 thermo, K & N, stage 1 shift kit and a manual fan switch. Other than suspention upgrades. I bought these headers and a a flowmaster for a stock replacement. I'm lookin at a 52mm TB next. Do to what i can afford as I go along. Just not sure how much more I can do til I need a tune. Any idea of what HP I could be at with all this thus far? No worries if know one knows. Just curious. What could i do next thats affordable? Thanks

It's in the same parking lot as Gaynors Automotive. Right across the street from Jack In The Box....or is that Carls Junior...

Across from Carl Jr's that is next to Walmart.

I would try and do as much as you can before getting the tune, that way you don't have to redo it later when you add an item. You can run the long tubes without a tune. You will most likely need the tune to pass emissions, so start planning and set some money aside for that before your time in 2012. Another little item I would suggest to add would be a set of 1.6 roller rockers. Even on a stock cam that will help increase lift on both exhaust and intake. An engine is basically an air pump. Air in vs air out and the result in between is horse power. Headers will help get the air out and a bigger throttle body will help with air in, but if you don't change something between those two points, you won't see much change in the horse power number.

Holy religious battle! Next your gonna tell us Santas real!! Anyway. Carls sounds more correct do to jack is on 78th. You have an idea of the price range for tunes? I'm gettin close to 200k on this engine so I want to do a total rebuild. So at that time I plan to upgrade cam, rockers, manifold, and hopfully heads. But talk is cheap. Parts are not!! lol lastly. Do these engine blocks have the clearance to stroke or would I need the machine work like the 1st gen's? Thanks again. I've posted on the LT1 page and just got mumbo jumbo blah blah who's smarter. This is one of the few times people have spoke english. Plus haven't tried to 1 up each other.

I have a 383 LT1. I took mine to the machine shop and had them check for clearances. There is a little machine work needed for a 383 stroker, a 396 needs more clearancing. I believe Wong's tunes are around $500, but I would contact him to check. Also you will need to talk to him about tuning software.
