Pacesetter are the cheap headers but are not bad for the price. Kooks are the high end header along with American Racing Headers which is what I went with for my Camaro. I would say go with Kooks or ARH, fitment will be better and will get better life out of the header IMO.

Depending on your budget, if you don't care about the cost and you want the best gains then I would go with American Racing Headers. If you plan on getting force air go with the 2" set if not 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" is all you need.

The only reason I would spend that much money for a set of headers is for the 1-7/8. I don't know why people buy a set for 8-1500$ for the same gains as you would for the price of pacesetter. I have the ceramic coated 1-3/4 and they only cost 438$.

My pacesetters fit great, on a camaro though. But depends on your budget. People run eBay headers fine. Kooks are def higher end but IMO pacesetters are the best bang for your buck, I would say go with them. You also are going to need a new y pipe if you are keeping the catback so keep that in mind with your budget, especially if you want to run cats.

So unless you aren't on a budget, pacesetters. Also guys correct me if I'm wrong but the extra 1/8" isn't gonna make a big enough difference unless you go with a cam?

Ah wow really, nice, well then you could take that money and put it towards kooks if you wanted. I would still vote for pacesetters though

Go with 1 7/8 American Racing or Kooks and do it right the first time around.

Idk my pacesetters fit great and haven't changed color and it's been daily driven for 7 months or so...that's for a camaro though I don't know how they are on a gto. But still I think you should go pacesetters and then get a dyno tune not a programmer...also are you doing the work? Would
Obv effect the budget. But my .02

My pacesetter headers once in fit good but the ARH slid right in place where the pacesetters hit the fire wall and we had to pry them out. Might be different on the GTO's.

If you plan on doing a cam etc a dyno tune is what you will want to take advantage of the cam. You still could run lean with a hand held and not know till your motor goes kaboom.

A programmer isn't worth the money. Have the car tuned when your done doing the mods, I would say after the cam and intake. You don't HAVE to have a tune with the bolt on's. A tune makes your bolt on's more efficient but its not critical. After the cam and intake it is.
