sometimes I get a little excited and just want to finish... AKA night work!

Open span and rated for 110lps live load. There aint no flex in that baby!

Okok. This is a funny story.. I built this shop WITHOUT taking the time to think about measuring my truck. ...

this is me measuring it. THANK GOD IT FITS!

A very important part of this build is the main supports for the long span ridge beam. While I REALLY wanted a two point supported ridge beam.. it just really wasn't possible. So I went with a three point ridge.

Problem is that there were no structural wood posts that would support the load I needed over 18 ft tall (without getting so large that the cost would exceed the benefit.

So.. In comes METAL!

Its up.

And the other side is waiting...

Anyone want to take a guess how that ridge beam was put up there? Unfortunately to my pocketbook it wasn't done with just my labor . But is was level enough the crane driver gave me $100 back for how easy it was getting in!

One of my favorite parts of building this thing.. This part went up soon fast. Well once I got my master template correct.

That's 500 SQ ft up there!

This is my response to my lady when she wants to go out.. :]
