They should upgrade the Monroe track. We already get tons of traffic for races, why not add Sundays to the list. Oh, and add the Drag Strip.

Once I found out it wouldn't be a long track I wasn't all that enthused about it anyway. We need a "north of Lynnwood" 1/4 mile drag strip around here, hopefully one that is conducive to a little road racing/auto-x type stuff too. If they build it I will come

I am with you on that. Kind of bummed they did it but at the same time it would be fight every time a race came here with those people and it would have looked bad.

As We pointed out before if NASCAR is going to come here they have to make people HERE want it Sure they may fill every seat with out of state people but if they have to fight with the locals every time they come here it would be short lived.

It really is a sad situation. Yesterdays race(although to many flag for me) was spectactular and today we here this...

Hey lets all build a monorail that no one will ride AND it does not pollute, lol.

Another thing, that area is slated for development, so now the tax payers will have to pay for the road anyways to exit off I5 for some kind of warehouses, shopping etc.. and have traffic there all day log instead of 3 weeks a year. Not to mention the pollution from that traffic.

If this is the reason to not build, which the nay folks are jumping on...
I want to know what all those people who do not want the track, handle their own enviromental issues and justified their causes.?? Like had trees cut down to build their homes...in wooded areas with wildlife, prob wear leather (which animals were killed), prob eat salmon for dinner (and want them saved), drive cars to work and pollute the air (they need to take a bus to work) etc., etc..

I say drill for oil in the sound and use the profits for a new track.
