Yeah Eric get the ticket deferred. Like Boyce said, it does not go on your record unless you get a ticket within the next year, and if you don't, they just drop it. However, you can only do this once every 5 years IIRC.

Yeah, I got pulled over on the same friggin day I installed the GMMG - pulled hard on the red light in Bothell-Everett Hwy up until 75ish on a 45 at night in 3rd gear - same classic question Eric got, I said "I don't know the speed I was 'cause my eyes were fixed on the road"

No ticket, just a warning I guess - he just handed me back my papers and said "have a good night". Go figure.

I'm gonna have to get used to watching out for the next overpass now that I am going back to a car. With the exception of the one equipment warning, it has been very difficult to even get the attention of the police in an SUV. (not that I am complaining) My favorite time was when I was passing a car doing 90+ in the carpool lane of NB I-5 coming out of Lynnwood, laser detector goes off like a pinball machine, so I start slowing down and waiting to be pulled over. Cop pulls out and ends up pulling over the car I was passing. Sometimes the bigger you are, the less people see.

Nice story Eric. You got lucky, If you were a young punk they would have had your *** in cuffs. There is no substitute for experience. the popo's are usually much easier on us old folks. With the exception of Mark cause he is really old. It is amazing how things have changed over the years. We used to race around everywhere with almost no chance of getting caught. Now the frigg'n popo's are around every turn. Oh well I guess that means we just have to pick our spots more carfully now.

I swear all the cops just hang out looking for you guys up north... I think the cops down here are too concerned with other crimes down here. I almost never see a speed trap down this way...

Well that's true... they're always out trying to bust the ricers at all the regular spots.

YOu definitely got lucky,I tend to think that the police aren't as harsh to people who drive domestics as opposed to import drivers but thats just me.
