A whole day of drag racing is the perfect way to break in the new GTO!

I'll probably be there dunno if I"ll be racing or not depends on how many miles i have on the clutch... need to get some baselines before I start modding the car.

Either way I'll be there to document the event

Whats up with the t/a mark? It would be a perfect break in for the goat! 125 miles thats perfect, you know these new motors are run before they are put in the car. Also if you break something it's under warenty

I will be their when they open, figure this year tech will take a little longer than just a quick look over. They have alot more hins to look at. We going to meet in the same spot is las year?

Watch the weather though... gates opened last Sunday at 8, and I got there at almost 9. Tech didn't even start until after 11 because the track wasn't completely dry yet... as long as it don't rain on any days leading up to Sunday, it should be good. If it rains Saturday night or really early Sunday morning, don't bother going when the gates open, otherwise you'll just be sitting around doing squat.

I plan to go, have a few more things I have to do to get my car ready though. But if I get all those things taken care of I should be able to go.

By the way, a guy I know yesterday was telling me how he saw a really cool video where a white trans am blew a head gasket on the dyno above 500rwhp . Wonder how these things get around.

I should probably edit that and change it since we're pretty sure it wasn't the headgasket anymore.

Yhea that would be cool. I think after all the stuff i have looked at and all the people i talked to i doubt it was a head gasket now, at the time it was a good reason.

Where did your friend see the vidio? On this site. Good work rookie, now i will never get the hooters guy to race for money

Jason I updated the vid http://www.sccow.com/vids/dynoday0105_256.wmv hehe that explanation should be a lil better just said it was a leaky nitrous line that just about emptied the bottle and the run finished it off.

You'd probably wanna take the clinton-mukilteo ferry if you're gonna take a ferry

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/sche...m?route=muk-cl

but I dunno if it'd save you any time.
