car show hardware

Had I got started with this Amsoil thing a little earlier, I would probably have put in for a trophy sponsorship at the Colby show. So far, I'm a sponsor for the June 19th Rod show in Auburn, and the All Chevy and Camaro show in July. I may also contact those in charge for the Kirkland show as well as the one out in Snohomish... need to spend a little advertising dollars to get my name out there, and I figure car show sponsorship is a good way to do it.
As long as JRS Racing Supplies still exists this time next year, I'll be a trophy sponsor for the 2006 Colby show.

I think we should all become sponsors next year at least get about five trophies. Better yet we could become a major sponsor so we get on stage and make a speech that our trophy will not be going to the stars n stripes vette, a dirty Lincoln or a ricer Trans Am.

We need to find a town that does not have a show, hold a huge show, invite all of the sponsors that are here on the board to sponsor a trophy.
Then out of the 600 cars, all newer ones win and leave the roadsters etc. scratching their heads, lol.
Honestly, being a huge Chevelle lover I would be the same way if I did not own my 4th gen Camaro and learned about it. I always thought the 70' 454 Chevelle was the best, and it is in many ways (IMO).

Honestly, I agree with Todd about some of the older cars. They are SWEET! But our cars, and other news ones that I've mentioned, deserve some recognition. I'm not saying the brand new 350Z, Saleen or Viper should have gotten a trophy because of what they are. But cars like ours that guys like us have poured a lot of time & money into to make special should. To give ALL of the trophies to the old cars is just wrong. Except for the stars-n-stripes Vette, which makes it MUCH worse! What a pig!! Car AND driver!!! Putting up a sign that says Vote for my car.....
So Jason, you may consider me your newest customer. I was thinking about it anyway since Amsoil is so close to RP, but your post pushed me over the edge. I will be talking to you tomorrow about oil & filters.

I really do not like shows that do not have a newer class, unless I am board I avoid them. Mark you are right.
Honestly your reader board really was a hit folks took the time to read it and were interested in it.
Thats it I am buying new valve covers and moving my coil packs to my mirrors...I was answering questions about them when you were away, it is an eye catcher. Really looks nice.

Don't worry, if I'm a trophy sponsor for the Colby show next year, none of the vehicles you mentioned would get within sniffing distance of my trophy. Unfortunately, there's no trophy sponsors at the Hot Rod Sunday and All Chevy/Camaro shows that I'm already sponsoring... but other shows (Twin City Idlers, Tulalip Casino, etc) do have trophy sponsor levels, so I may sign up for one or both of those.
