Fun With Excel, Race Graphs...

So, Basically what you are looking at is the last couple of seconds for staging the car and then the run down the track.
The Yellow line represents Throttle Position, So, you can see when I go to wide open throttle. The blue line, RPM, starts to climb as I am running out first gear. You can see I have my shift points down at 5000rpm, its only in first gear for about 2 seconds. In fact it takes about that long for it to build boost from off idle.
Then after only 3 seconds in second gear, it goes into 3rd for the long haul.
The shift points were set to 5000rpm, and the shift drops the rpm down to 4000rpm.
The Pink line is a graph of Manifold pressure, at idle its running the standard 50ish KPA, then wot moves upto 100kpa (atmoshperic), then as the turbo starts working its magic it runs upto 160-180kpa (about 11psi boost).
As you can see, I caught Mark at about 9.5 seconds into my run, after that, I hung a fender, and just blipped the throttle enough to stay ahead!

You can certainly see where the turbo starts to build boost in 1st gear (almost at the end, what looks like about 4k). Your MAP sure bounces around compared to mine. I'll see if I can't post a graph of my car for comparison.
Damn fast car you got there Ryan! That was a good race, I enjoyed it. But if I'm going to make you work for it next time I need to get more agressive at the light. You had way too much room to work with at the end....

I didn't take it negatively. I was just critiquing myself for cutting such a bad light against you. As Ellis would say, I got treed. My plan was not to redlight & try to make you breakout. So much for that.....
So where's a pic of that trophy?

You cut a better light than I did, and actually ran your number.... I was easy pickins for Ryan. The margin of victory with you was only like .01 seconds, you gave him a .193 margin... I gave him over half a second to work with.
Looking at the history of my truck's runs, I think every third run I need to raise my dial-in by 3 tenths. Seems to do that a lot.
Either that or I really need to work on my sand bagging technique with a slow vehicle. Otherwise the truck would never be consistent enough to make it into the final.
