Man... I need to show y'all how to run an STi
I did a 55+ on 26 with a really souped looking one with an older guy in it on the way home from work yesterday (the Lord smiled and opened up a large clearing in traffic). He got the jump and about a car length while i shifted down. At the end of third I was even and mid-way through fourth he was looking at my bumper. I took it a bit further to make sure there was no fly-by, and then shut it down. He gave me a wide-eyed thumbs up as he went by... and probably noticed then that I was wearing a 5-point.
I think that was my first street race in 2 or 3 years. Good LAWD these new heads rock.

Sweet!!!
What a trip! It is so cool to watch myself like that! Thanks for posting that!
I didn't know that the tires spun so hard on shifts. They even do it into 4th. I didn't know the rear squatted that hard, either. I think that was my best run that day. After seeing that video I know I definitely need way better tires, and the other stuff to keep from breaking anything when they hook up.
I just pulled out my B&M short throw. The darn thing was leaking fluid from underneath, (like they were saying it would over on LS1gto.) Phooey!, I was gonna be a die hard with the thing, but I don't think it's worth the effort to keep it. The stock shifter feels like crap though. I'll have to come up with something better.
Thanks for all the nice words, everyone.
