My question is, do we still limit this to LSx powered cars, or Camaros, Firebrids, GTOs & Vettes? (meaning do we allow all of our new-found Mustang buddies in, or the Viper?)
I would say being that this is LS1TECH.COM, we limit it to LSx powered cars.

Well, that was my first thought too. But then Don & Bill & ____ are excluded from the list. So should we open it up to anyone that is on this forum?

Kinda unfair to "let" LT1 owners contribute to this forum but not give them a place on the list based on the year of their car.......

I think it should include all contributing forum members.

Go for it, Make it LSx powered vehicles. Don't need some top 10 list to know my vehicle is one of the top ones here

When I say "LSx" I mean it to include LTx cars as well..

But... if we open it up to anyone on the forum, are we gonna have a bunch of Mustangs in there? I think that seems like a bad idea. Nothing against the Mustang guys, but this is a GM-oriented forum.

Personally, I think it should be limited to LTx/LSx cars.

All you have to do is go over to stangnet or a mopar website and you'll see how many of their fastest lists have LS1/LT1 cars on them.

I think we should include any Camaro, Firebird, or Corvette for sure, regardless of year... maybe any Chevy, including trucks. But sorry to the Ford/Mopar guys, gotta draw the line somewhere, ya know?

Why not just keep the original Top Ten rules in effect for the other list/s? Any F-bod, Vette or LS/LT powered vehicle, etc......I am sure I am missing some there but you get the point.

IMO we need to open it a smidge because guys like Don B can't get on our list, and he is a major player on here, with our car clubs & at the track. So does anyone have a problem with a GM based Top 25 in the NW? That allows the Duece, and our buddy in his GN in....

Honestly (and I know I have little to no say in this) but if you do that, then it takes away from this site's purpose. Then anyone in a GM with a 8-71 charged 572 can climb aboard the Top 10 and rule it.

But on the other hand, if they are a member of the CCC, then it only makes sense to allow them,, even though THIS site isn't a CCC site........aw hell, I have no idea where I stand.

I say let em in if they want. It's the "NW Top Ten", there are plenty of lists on this site specific to ls1/ls6. If they are good enough to race with and be in the club...LT1's also. Or a list specific to lsx's and a general list, or?

This seems to me to be a good middle ground. There are some good battles going on up and down the list. Mark and Doug have been one upping each other for several weeks, it's fun to have someone to shoot for creating competition up and down the list.

I agree. Maybe have a list specific to CCC guys, and leave the existing list to NW lsx based cars. I have a list going in the vette section for stock/bolt-on Z06's across the country (no bragging, but I am #6 in stock).
Robert

Edit: here's the list I've been working on (ideas/insight?);

I like the rules of the original top ten. Part of the list is to compare other cars\mods with your own. But that is just my opinion there was a huge debate over the top ten rules and I think the outcome was good, except that it was only 10.

If you do let all GM vehicles in I'd keep a larger list IMHO it would be more of a pain to administer but then everyone can get involved. Even the slow 98 verts

Would be nice to have at least a list to compare mods and times. So when I do decide to get a cam(hmmm) I can compare what I see for times and how I hear the car with it sounds and idles etc...since I see most of you at the track. I might make close to #25 on the list too! lol

I'm getting kind of a bad sense here, so felt it time to input a little

We don't race for NW LS1tech, we race for NW fbody. The last 5 years I've been in the club it's always been either "Team NW fbody" or just "NW fbody". No mention of LS1, LT1, SBC, BBC, 6 banger etc. of any type at all. It's even been made clear in the past that other models, and even other makes are welcome to join us, race with us, hang with us etc. Would we now exclude them/me from this list ? It would be a bit ridiculous IMO to exclude my '71 just because it doesn't have an LS1 in it. It's as much of an fbody as any 4th gen IMO, maybe more since mine was actually made in America

Including Non-LS1/LT1 cars in the list in no way hampers anyones ability to compare their car to anyone else's.
