Top 10...
Camaro, Firebird / Trans Am, Corvette, GTO, etc ... this should be obvious. The current rules are working great. A second column (10-20) of listing in the same thread like an honorable mention seperated by a break is a good thing.
I thought the original rules said any vette, fbody, or conversion with an LSx\LTX powerplant such as Mr Bezels. Your 71 would be eligeble as well. A nova with a 502 big block would not, as a Mustang would not be.
Here are the original rules:
1) Car must be a Fbody/Y-body/LSx powered hybrid vehicle. So all years of Camaro, Corvette, Trans Am, Formula are eligable. Hybrid cars MUST be LSx powered (C5R is acceptable). BBC and SBC powered hybrids not eligable for list.
2) Must be in the NW listing for the forum (i.e.:WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, SD, ND, NE)
3) Must be an active poster in the NW forum, no "I ran this" and never come back. If there is no post in the forum w/ in 1 month, time taken off the list and list will be adjusted accordingly.
4) Car must be active (i.e.: You must CURRENTLY OWN the vehicle you ran the time in).
5) At the time of new rules (effective 01/01/05) if the car has not made the pass in the previous year it is not eligible for the list.
6) You may only use the data off of ONE time slip. No piecing together '60's, mph's and ET's to get the "your best" slip. This will generally mean that you want to give the one with your BEST ET regardless of MPH and '60. This will allow you to see where you might have deficiencies in areas.
EX: 12.0 @ 119 (2.0)
To people just stopping by the forum (that had any sense) they would see that car still hasnt shown its maximum performance and still has room to grow due to the poor '60.
7) Must be licenced for street use
(current licence and registration)
8) NO hot passes
a)Car must be legal for run
b)If the track gives you the boot, time does not count
9) Tire
a)Any DOT approved tire
I think all these make sense for a longer list but that is just my opinion.

I just got a little concerned since I've worked hard to advance my position and it looked like a few no longer wanted the '71 on it ? Last edited by Racehead; Aug 30, 2005 at 09:18 PM.
I just got a little concerned since I've worked hard to advance my position and it looked like a few no longer wanted the '71 on it ?I just edited that it came off hella snobby sorry about that!!!! I didn't mean it like that at all. Its just that this is a narrow interest forum so I personally don't like the idea of Mustangs and Novas and stuff on the list....not that I don't like those cars I do (well at least the Novas JK)
I think your 71 belongs on the list as the original rules stated.
Sorry again for my snotty sounding post I really didn't mean it that way

We don't race for NW LS1tech, we race for NW fbody. The last 5 years I've been in the club it's always been either "Team NW fbody" or just "NW fbody". No mention of LS1, LT1, SBC, BBC, 6 banger etc. of any type at all. It's even been made clear in the past that other models, and even other makes are welcome to join us, race with us, hang with us etc. Would we now exclude them/me from this list ? It would be a bit ridiculous IMO to exclude my '71 just because it doesn't have an LS1 in it. It's as much of an fbody as any 4th gen IMO, maybe more since mine was actually made in America
Including Non-LS1/LT1 cars in the list in no way hampers anyones ability to compare their car to anyone else's.
We may not race for LS1Tech but this list/forum is here and has a set of rules to it already......................and I am with you, talking at Hooters > talking anywhere else, especially the interweb.

So post up here or PM me. I have a file created waiting for your numbers...now if only
with that. If there are regular NW members that have non-GM cars and they wanna be added to the second list, I don't see why they shouldnt be. I agree with you. Besides...
