Insanity , why do they need a 5 speed?It's a 6 speed. As are almost all sport bikes these days. They have that many gears because they are stacked VERY closely because the bikes make little or no torque(~80 ft lbs, but 176 hp).
I have seen 103 mph indicated on my bike in 1st gear before it was geared down. That is low 90s true ground speed.
