But if there are/were on-duty cops in unmarked cars "egging" people on as you put it, then anyone who gets busted, IMHO, deserves what they get for being foolish enough to street race to begin with.......again, just my opinion, not bagging on anyone or making judgement, nor am I saying that I agree or disagree with that tactic.

Exactly And even if he was on duty his actions could constitute provoking the incident. If you pulled over to let him pass and he's ghosting you, and you have to get over because a lane ends ahead and he won't let you slow down or speed up enough to get ahead or behind him. He doesn't really leave you much of a choice. It's not openly asking you to race but his actions ask you to do something drastic. which I would almost consider entrapment. Either way not all cops are like that. Like Rott said he was probably a rookie on a power trip with his new badge or someone that was a wanna be with a security badge.
