How much HP do you get when you take an ls2 434 at 15-1 and spray 500 to it?
What type of n2o setup were you running? Obviously direct port, but dual stage, progressive? Also seems lean for a shot that big. I don't know why they wouldn't start out with a small hit and work from there monitoring everything. But hopefully the iron block works out for you.

Direct port single stage, can only run one stage in 10.5 car class. 15-1 is the compression ratio, a/f was around 12-1 It failed b/c of cylinder pressure, cracked two liners, they started right with a 400 cause thats the smallest shot it would take to hang with the big boys. any smaller than that and it would be useless. The ls1 is a great motor, just the alluminum block has it's limits and i reached them remember this is a race motor max effort!

Ah I see. True 10.5 is an extremely competitive class. I think you definitely reached the limits of sleeved block. Hell 15:1 is enough cylinder pressure as is. I am going to be doing a dual stage progressive setup this year. I am trying to spray around 400 onto an aluminum block. I'll only be around 11.5:1 but we'll see how it goes. I think the progressive nature will really help control the hit.

what cubes you going to run nate?
Your right at 15-1 there is a alot of cylinder pressure. My first concern was lifting heads, but that wasn't even close to the problem. To make shure this doesn't happen again the new iron will be block filled about halfway. W to W just built a 1700 hp iron twin turbo, So it can be done, just have to wait and see.
