Ok thanks to buck you can listen to my engine. Take a listen and post what you think it could be. Tom and I and another guy did a complete visual and its not a pipe bang, doesnt sound like it either, and the nosie is all down low, nothing to be heard on top of the motor.

thats what Tom said too. I'm so bummed. How can I break that crap with only a small cam and heads. I havent even used the nitrous, its rev limited to 6300, I drive hard but I haven't mechanicaly over-reved that I can ever recall.

Lots of things can contribute to a spun bearing; bad oil, over-revving, detonation, overreving while cold(thick oil) bad luck,,,,, It's odd that you spun a bearing if you have a rev limiter set @ 6.3k though. You got upgraded rod bolts in that thing?

Looks like a 402 stroker is in your future or maybe a forged 346... Worst case (if you're on a budget) you could just find a stock LS1 shortblock and swap it out. I heard RyanK bought Josh's wrecked bird, maybe you could score the shortblock from him? I know I want some pieces off that car (basically everything BUT the shortblock) but I can't get ahold of Ryan,,,, been trying for two days now.
